Ben Y Vrackie

This year celebrates the European year of the Mountain with a huge conference to be held in Pitlochry in November. Nestled in the Scottish Highlands the surrounding region of Pitlochry has an abundance of beautiful Scottish mountains and hills called Munros (over 3000ft) and Corbetts (over 2500ft).   The stunning peak of Pitlochry’s own Corbett, Ben Y Vrackie forms a dramatic backdrop. Few people know that Ben Y Vrackie is actually an extinct volcanic mountain, one of the very few in the Grampian mountain range. Climb Ben Y Vrackie and you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the town and valley stretching to Blair Atholl and beyond.
